A Karen Heart Foundation offers an array of services to individuals aged eighteen and over depending on their needs. With the guidance and support offered at A Karen Heart Foundation, participants find opportunities to achieve independence and self-fulfillment.

  • Supervision and monitoring
  • Opportunity to develop peer relationships/friendships
  • Involvement with surrounding community services and resources
  • Recreational activities such as:
    • Arts and crafts
    • Cooking and baking
    • Musical entertainment and sing-a-longs
    • Mental stimulation games such as Bingo
  • Physical activities appropriate for each individual’s abilities
  • Discussion groups (books, movies, current events)
  • Holiday and birthday celebrations
  • Outside trips to community events
  • Educational programs and lectures
  • Daily living/life skills training on and off site
