A Karen Heart Foundation offers an array of services to individuals aged eighteen and over depending on their needs. With the guidance and support offered at A Karen Heart Foundation, participants find opportunities to achieve independence and self-fulfillment.
- Supervision and monitoring
- Opportunity to develop peer relationships/friendships
- Involvement with surrounding community services and resources
- Recreational activities such as:
- Arts and crafts
- Cooking and baking
- Musical entertainment and sing-a-longs
- Mental stimulation games such as Bingo
- Physical activities appropriate for each individual’s abilities
- Discussion groups (books, movies, current events)
- Holiday and birthday celebrations
- Outside trips to community events
- Educational programs and lectures
- Daily living/life skills training on and off site
